X-gal - (Mar/22/2005 )

I did a stupid thing. this is a white and blue screening. I forgot spead x-gal onit. what concentration of x-gal i should use? can i use the rest transformation cells (store 4 degree) to do it again tomorrow?

Yes you can re-spread your transformant when your new plates are ready.

Spread 40 ul X-gal (40mg/ml) onto each plate. To make 40 mg/ml X-gal sol, dissolve 400 mg X-gal in 10 ml DMSO.

Hmm.. I've heard of people doing that. No difference from adding it into the molten agar itself I presume?
