As with all human pathogens, you should be very careful and concentrated when working with them. And you have to use the proper safety precautions for working with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, most of the time your government will give you some constraints, like usage of an low-pressure chamber and a laminar flow, an extra autoclave etc..... You might want to consider a immunisation, or continously serologic monitoring. When you take all this to heart, there should be no problem. Otherwise people working with HIV or Ebola virus would infect themselves every day....

Besides, Tuberculosis is treat- and cureable.
