Microarray - How to manage "gal" file? (Feb/14/2005 )

Dear colleagues,

Dealing with microarray software and analysis: could anybody tell what program should be used to introduced changes in already established
.gal file (for instance, remove/add columns)?
If .gal file simply a text file is it possible to use just Microsoft Word or Pad to modify that?

Any comment would be so much appreciated.

i've already done a search in file ext, unsuccessful that's why i didn't mention this cool web site.
