pH change During Filtration - pH change During Filtration (Jan/14/2005 )

can anybody explain me a bit about why pH of the common media(DMEM, M199 etc) changes during filtration?

Positive pressure is recommended to avoid removal of CO2 which results from negative pressure filtration.
