What's a tandem repeat and what's a polymorphic region?

Hi there,

Generally I'm happy to help people troubleshoot their experiments, or provide some help to homework questions if they've already shown they've put in a lot of effort already but can't find the answer. However, by posting five questions in a row and not demonstrating that you've put any effort whatsoever into trying to find out the answers for yourself doesn't make me want to help at all. You come across as lazy. Surely you have textbooks that contain explanations and definitions of polymorphic regions and tandem repeats. This forum is not a question and answer service.
