What to gift during secret santa?! - Suggestions please...... (Nov/03/2008 )
Hi all...
Its party season and we in our lab have already picked out names for secret santa and the topic is, "When I was 5, I wanted to be a ____"
Now I have picked up a lady and I am soooooooo confused what to give her.. I have just seen her around in the floor but have no idea about her, but heard that she is a bit humourous...
Can you guys please suggest what I can give her with respect to the topic.. It neednt necessarily be what hse wnated to be, something comical and nice... I am clueless!!!!! Please post in ur suggestions.. Cheers...
One of my brother's got this for the other during Christmas season. Giant plush microbes. Not sure if thats something to give out as a secret santa gift, but I think they're cute

As it's secret santa, hopefully she'll never know who gave the present to her, so don't worry too much. Get her something generically "happiness" inducing.
I once gave my boss a chocolate Russian roulette wheel, but one of the chocolate bullets was chili chocolate. Simple, cheap and funny. One of the guys in my lab was given a kid's bike bell, because he's a fairly serious cyclist.
my two fav secret santa gifts that I have given were-
a mouse shaped ice cube trays (we work with mice in the lab, hehehe so funny.....at least until I found out everyone's first thought was that they looked like sperm- hmmmm)
a little plastic reindeer that filled with brown jelly beans, you push on his back and he poops one out of a hole in his bum.......
The weirdest one that I have been given was a loofah, you know, to scrub away dry skin from your body, not even a nice one, just your $2 special from the chemist......I though to myself, I wonder if the person who gave me this thinks I have poor hygeine and spent the whole party walking around asking people if they thought I have dull skin.........
Oooo and another odd one- we have a $5-10 spend limit- and my friend got a xmas card with a highlighter and $5.

As for the theme, what's wrong with the reindeer? (Joke) If she's blonde, you could get her a cheap Barbie doll. But that'd be a bit of a crock as a present, I think. Why not wrap the present in paper that followed the theme? Ballerina, fairy, nurse, whatever!

have you decided something yet? you could give her a chocolate-cake-baking-kit, maybe when she was five wanted to be a chef! hmm....chocoolateee!
alternatively you could give her a 1 kg toblerone bar! (idem: hmmm chocoolateeee!!)
