Pages: 1 2 Next

Hi
It is long time since I wrote my previous post, I complaint a lot from my labmate no one heared me.
She began to bring her children to the lab after finishing the school day,I think a fake email to the dean will solve the problem.

Why fake email? If there is a violation of rules, report to the authority as a whistleblower and your identity should be protected.

What can I do if my identity was not protected,my colleagues will hate me.

Try to find a more family-friendly and less annoying solution glare.gif .

Do the kids behave badly? noisy? disruptive?

-Minnie Mouse-

''Oh, that is so nice the children will be here. rolleyes.gif I was thinking of starting a experiment using blood and some mucosa sample from children. They seem to be of right age. Can I immunise them with some mouse cells? '' .. . should do the job. laugh.gif

Actually I can symphatize with the gal...
If children behave well and stay in the social room, then it's ok, if otherwise... Talk to her, but friendly.

The children are very rude

Kids but also other personel that has no professional interest should not be allowed on a laboratoryfloor from a safety point of view.
There is another point to take in account, the lab will held responsible if something harmfull happens with the kids.

Actually, there should be a child care section in the each institute and I am pretty serious about it. Science is not mother-friendly (and not father-friendly, if the father ever wills to be anything more than money bringer to his family). There were awful amounts of divorcees in the department I was working for previously.
Maybe encourage her to lobby? It could be a start of something more.
