hi guys happy.gif

after 2.5 years waiting for a secured job
i got an opportunity at last, but unfortunately not in research labs as i wanted to be sad.gif
i have to study one year to get diploma in education so i can be a teacher.. sleep.gif
from time to time, i think of getting out of this all stuff ..
can't imagine myself teaching..
it's not so bad, but not what i wanted to be sad.gif
i feel upset most of the time
but each time i think of what i am going to do if i reject this opportunity
i'll not get any further chances !!
i want to change my life, i want to prepare for a master degree in tissue culture wub.gif , i want to get a car, to develop my English and many others..
i feel lost..
it's something difficult to me to be a teacher ! sad.gif
but it's the only choice i have...or i have to forget the whole thing !! sad.gif

Hi strawberry,

Nice creme caramel. wink.gif ...... can I just ask if this is your first job offer? Do you really feel so desperate that you'd accept the first offer that comes along esp one that you don't particularly like or want to do?
OTOH, you wouldn't know if you'd really hate teaching until you try, right?
Hmm..so why couldn’t you just continue with a master’s…. usually, there are fellowships available, you’d be on a tight budget but at least you’ll do something you really love to do.
So you’d better prepare a comprehensive cost analysis to help you decide...…in the end though, you’re the only one who’d know what’s best for yourself. IMHO (though it’s usually warped) you really can’t be good at something you don't like to do and you can’t be happy doing something you’re just “forced” to do…sure, you can always get by (humans are very resilient after all) but although “getting by” will put food on the table, will it make you feel happy or fulfilled? Goodluck.

You wanted to look for a secure job, and found one but it's not in research field, the one you loved? After securing the job, you are unhappy and sometimes think of a way to get out of it? That must be a dilemma for you. Is there a reason to look for job security?

A caring person once told me this, he said "when I look for job, I searched wide. Now when I look for employee, I do the same - give yourself more space to choose the right one for you".

Whatever decision that you make, I wish you all the best. Stay happy k smile.gif

Dear Strawberry
I think u must be patient, when I was a fresh graduate I refused a lot of jobs that I hate and I was blamed by my parents,I had to wait for approximately one year until I found a job in research.
I think u may go on ur Master degree and look for a fund to support u.

Please do what u like to do only,If u hate teaching don't do this.
Teaching need patience and special ability to explain and illustrate subjects.

Dear Strawberry
What about working in a pharmaceutical company(R&D)? this is a new idea ,research is not only in institutes and faculties.
