hI!
I´m working with ATDC5 cells and i´m become crazy because the cells dye without any explanation.
tHEY GROW PROPERLY BUT SUDDENLY THEY MEDIUM CHANGE TO YELLOW AND THE CELLS BECOME ELONGATED. aFTER THAT, THEY DYE
Can you tell me something about it?
Thank you very much in advance

What medium are you using?

How confluence is the cell line before it died?

HI! I´m using DMEM-F12 5%FBS plus transferrin 10 microg/ml selenite 3.10-8M

How confluence is the cell line before it died?
THEY ARE 100% CONFLUENT, IT OCCURS DURING THE EXPERIMENT!
THE BECAME ENLONGED, AND SUDDENLY THEY DYE.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

How long after they become confluent do they die?? Is it possible that they have exhausted all of the nutrients in the media and require a media change??

Do you know if the cell line is contact inhibited?? Is it necessary to have 100% confluent for your experiment?? or would starting it at around 80-90% be acceptable??
