avoiding infection after a organ transplant? - (Sep/10/2008 )

didnt know where abouts to post this sorry.
if a person has a organ transplant they have to take drugs to supress their immune system and stop the organ being rejected. why is it important that they avoid infection?

think about it. What do you need to fight off an infection? And what does an immune system do when combating an infection.

can you rephrase this again? It got me confused. unsure.gif Even those who hadn't had organ transplant need to avoid infection. wacko.gif It is important for everyone to avoid infection, isn't it?
