What cell lines can be used to run an anti-angiogenic assays? - (Aug/27/2008 )

Hi,

I'm doing an anti-angiogenic study and i was wondering if anyone can tell me if there are other cell lines besides HUVEC that can be used??

Thanks in advance!

I don't have any experience in this field, by I believe HMECs are also used (micro endothelial cells). Our lab was recently contacted by a company called Glycosan BioSystems asking me if I was interested in trying some of their anti-angiogenic products. If you don't mind trying products in beta, you could give them a ring and they might hook you up with some free assays. I think they are giving away just the matrix - not the cells.
