cell titer glo - relative light unit (Oct/04/2004 )

Hello everybody, I am using cell titer glo from promega, that assays cell viability based on the atp content in the cell. I am just wondering whether anybody has used this assay before? What I find disturbing is that my rlu is fairly low, (around 20-30), whereas the literature attached to it shows that for the amount of cells that I have, it should have rlu of at least 800.

Anybody has any clue?
