what temperature is ideal for storage of genomic DNA from transgenic mouse tail.

usually for genomic DNA, it is quite stable at 4 C or better still at -20C.

at -20 C is the better for storage of DNA.

I don't quite agree... As long as it is in TE it should be stored at 4C and not -20C because freezing and thawing will harm it. Any double stranded DNA in TE is stable at 4C or even RT for centuries. If there is little or no EDTA in its buffer it should be frozen and subjected to as little freezing and thawing cycles as possible.
