Genetic mosaics are organisms carrying two (or more!) different cell lines -genotypically speaking. A good example are some cases of Down Syndrome that happen to be mild. In this case, some cells carry the extra 21 chromosome and some others don't. You can see this in many different types of chromosomal disorders. It's important to note that in order to be called mosaic it has to be derived from a single zygote that in a later stage undergoes mutations that allows to have different sets of cells.
