My dear and captive audience,

Now, I shall unfold the answers to all those questions:

- Now the lab looks a little less messy and she is not using my stuff as much as before. HOWEVER, she is still in a trial phase. I will not call victory so soon... only God knows how that troll behaves from time to time.

- Now she has labeled EVERYTHING in her bench with her name on it. At the beginning I thought that she was in her way of having her own stuff... but somehow she managed to loose on set of pipettes (hers) so now she is using some other student's and a second set (that student's set) is now incomplete. Have no clue how they will handle that. At least THAT WOMAN is not using my pipettes. Another thing is that now she believes she is the PI so now she is taking everybody's notebook and check your stuff and make comments, which would be good if those comments were fully based on actual information, but she is just saying things with no knowledge of what or why you did something, so now we all have to waste time explaining her what we did and why and how we did it. And then you have to explain her again a few days later because she never keeps track of what you said or did (obviously, is not her research). To me it looks like she wants us to see her as a source of knowledge and help, but with no success at all. And if I ask her something (just to play along) she always says things that contradicts totally my boss' advise (and not for good!).

- And speaking of the devil... he is doing nothing. I think he gave up a long time ago!! sad.gif

- I don't think the villain will succumb at all...

- For the hero... well, she'll get some break (after graduation!). tongue.gif

- No brownies!!!! sad.gif

In other words:

WE'RE DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!

(Only a good brownie could save me now) (I accept donations)

Today's episode:

"The day hurricane Hanna hit my bench"

Today I went to lab to do something real quick (about 15 min total work).

HORROR!!! ohmy.gif

I found my bench TOTALLY FLOODED!! Seriously, there was water all over my stuff, my protocols wet.... And, that was not the bad part. The worst part is that there was a pack of paper towels just in the middle. No, no, no.. don't think that there was an attempt to clean the mess, it was just a bunk of towels in the center of the bench, sitting there, getting wet but not doing anything regarding the complete mess.

I had to spend 15 mins cleaning and drying my bench and, of course, getting more and more angry. I was wondering what happened there and who the hell was doing what in my bench and didn't have the decency of cleaning (putting a bunch of paper towel in the middle without actually wiping dry is not cleaning) and I still wonder.

This have all the features of an evil work from you-all-know-who. ph34r.gif

But I won't rush into conclusions. I will find out tomorrow... hopefully.

Now, I want to know something: isn't it the proper and respectful thing to do to clean the mess you left in somebody else's space? Or is it just me being a neurotic?

-bacterie-

Not neurotic.

I would say well mannered!

Keep us informed, bacterie (are you french, by the way?).

And good luck with the one who shall not be named!

-Madrius-

Sounds really really bad....maybe you should look for a less messy script wink.gif

Maybe you should think of buying a voodoo-doll??????

-gebirgsziege-

You can't - that's black magic laugh.gif
(not that would stop ME, source of all evil)

-Telomerase-

When are you graduating?

-Minnie Mouse-

Next time, the you-all-know-who flooded/messed up your bench, you may take a photo of it and stick the photo on the fridge's door.

Hey bacterie,

I hate to become the “THAT WOMAN’S” advocate here but it’s more likely that the bunch of paper towels in the midst of the mess could have a logical explanation..it was an interrupted clean-up. She comes to the lab, zooms in on your bench and makes use of all your stuff and then gripped by the sheer tension and excitement of doing something “illicit” (or probably just plain clumsiness), she knocks up/down a bottle and causes the flooding.

In her panic, she scrunches up a weeks supply of paper towels, starts to clean up but then abruptly stops and you know why? Because she heard you coming girl!! tongue.gif Who wouldn’t? You were striding about with 100 kgs of full body armour plus a ball mace and an axe- ready to do battle. So being opportunistic to the bone, self-preservation kicks in and she makes a dash for it. Lightfooted was she while you..hmm… slow and heavy and too late the hero (or heroine for that matter).. sad.gif

oh and you’d better be suspicious of all your bottles containing liquid..the mess came from most probably a bottle she’s using in your bench, so another possible scenario- she didn’t have the time to finish off the clean-up because she was busy replacing the liquid she spilled with DD H2O or worse from the tap.. biggrin.gif ..she’s evil remember? This is getting better and better…we are staying tuned..
