hemocytometer - (Jul/15/2008 )

can anyone tell me that for counting of bacterial cells in hemocytometer, do we use the same trypan blue or somthing else is to be used

It's a pain but you can use whatever stains the cells. If you have an epifluorescent set up - use DAPI. It's alot easier to count fluorescing cells.

We only do mammalian cells and use tryphan blue. It's not that big of a pain. I guess it all depends on what your used to! biggrin.gif
