MAKING A COLLAGEN SOLUTION - (Jun/30/2008 )

I am very inexperienced when it comes to making collagen solutions. I have purchased collagen IV (Sigma), which is acid soluble and would like to know if anyone knows of a standard protocol for making collagen solutions and/or collagen films. In addition, I know that the solution needs to be neutralized, how would I go about doing so as well as using glutaraldehyde to crosslinking.
