Can a 96 well plate for rt PCR be used for ELISA? - 96 well plate , ELISA (Jun/24/2008 )
Hi,
I just came into a lab with an Applied Biosystems "Optical 96-well plate" meant for real time PCR. I need to run ELISA, but I'm not sure if you need a specific 96 well plate for ELISA. Will the AB real time PCR 96 well plate work just as well?

Your initial problem could be the antigen binding capacity of the PCR plate. If it's too low, your signal will be too low.

I once did an ELISA in 396 well RT PCR plate and i did see a difference between negative and positive control
i think you can actually do ELISA in RT PCR plate but the signal may not be high
