hi guys



i'm starting using charcoal for the first time... dry.gif
and have some questions...of course i searched before posting this topic, but i like to share info here in this forum rolleyes.gif

what is the source of charcoal!! is it just the wood !
and is their big difference between one type and the other ! unsure.gif
does this difference depend on the type of wood !? unsure.gif

activated charcoal in charcoal stripped serum in order to inactive/take away hormones / growth factors in FBS or FCS. We use CSS in order to "starve" i.e. LNCaP (androgen-dependent prostate cancer ) cells but also other cells in which we look at hormone-regulated gene expression.

Of course, you can buy ready-made CSS but it is at least 4-5 times more expensive than FCS. We make our own in the lab. We first tried the granules but the starvation was not efficient. So, we use the powder one but it's a kinda messy to work with the powder.

Traps toxins in the body?? What bullfeces.
