OMG, That's hypothetical for the thread reply.

Mine real supervisor it 偉い、頭がいい人。

But, sometimes I am not sure how much to rely on what I am getting

There was one? Oh yes, now I remember, but how he looks...have to think about.
Was in his office protected by a secretary and many appointments, or en-route for meetings, lectures and official trips.

My old one had a beard, glasses and was bald.
My new one, surprisingly, has a beard, wears glasses and is balding.
Otherwise they are completely different
