Multiplexing SNP product - (May/16/2008 )

Just a quick question, I'm starting a SNP assay and have found a decent amount of working polymorphic primers. We're analyzing our product with a flourimeter so multiplexing is in the future plan. I have heard of multiple different ways but I have been told to just add pcr product from three different reactions(all with the same dye obviously with ranging lengths) to the product to be submitted. This seems a bit dicey to me does anyone have experience with this or should I look into alternatives (pre-pcr multiplexing or submitting different dyes). There's plenty more questions but that should do for now, thanks!
