Need some advice about microarray of T fusca - (Mar/20/2008 )

Hello, my boss asked me to using microarray to detect the whole gene expression levels in T. fusca (a kind of actinobacterium). I hear some companies have commercial microarrays which are cheap and easy to deal with. I know few about microarray, and would you introduce some valuable companies to me and give some advice about doing with microarray? Thanks a lot.

www.affymetrix.com they cell many gene chips for various gene arrays which I have found to be of high quality.

I would first recommend you read up on RNA extraction from cells (check out Qiagen RNeasy kit) and also making cDNA from the RNA. If you will be sending your samples somewhere else that will perform the gene array for you, they might only request your RNA, and they will take it from there!
