normalization in MSP with heterogenous sample - (Mar/14/2008 )

In some papers, I saw methylation specific PCR samples were normalized to beta tubulin or GAPDH.

So, could you tell me what is the constraint of primer set for normalizing MSP?

Does some properties like CpG content influence the data?

I'd like to know if I can use the primers in our lab, avoiding unnecessarily to order a new primer.

methylation specific PCR uses bisulfite converted DNA as template, so you would need to redesign and order primers to the controls.

It is assumed that GAPDH and B-actin are unmethylated
