resuspend HEK293 clumps after trypsinization - HEK293 clumps (Mar/07/2008 )

Hello all,

I have noticed that the HEK293 cells form clumps after trypsinization.
How can these clumps be resuspended to be able to count the cells?

Any clue
Thanks for your help

The regular 293 cells should be readily suspended. Could it be that you have a significant portion of these cells dead? I would suggest you just let it settles for a short moment to get rid of the clumps and use only the supernatant portion.

These cells, as any other cells, should be resuspended before counting them.
Cells tend to stick together if they are allowed to settle down for long periods of time but they can be resuspended almost immediately before counting/plating them.
