ChIP-Chip Hybridizations - Different method for Histones vs transcription factors? (Mar/07/2008 )

Hi everyone smile.gif

Just a quick question - has anyone out there done a ChIP-Chip with histone modifications? And if so, do you change any hybridisation conditions (ie: compared to TF's?). I am just wondering whether I should do my hyb's differently if I have frequent binding events (histones).
Clare

PS: Sorry - cross-posted in chromatin forum.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Clare,

as far as I know the only difference between histone mod and tf chip-chip is that you can use less starting material and less antibody for the IP with histone mod.
Apart from that everything else should be the same...

cheers
