Some statistics - (Mar/03/2008 )

Hi,
just found this site: http://www.alexa.com/
here some interesting figures about www.protocol-online.org traffic etc. (the bioforum itself is not listed as only domain levels are included).

Fig. 1 Reach (Measures the number of users. Reach is typically expressed as the percentage of all Internet users who visit a given site.)
Fig. 2 Page views (Measures the number of pages viewed by Alexa Toolbar users. Multiple page views of the same page made by the same user on the same day are counted only once.)
Fig. 3 Users analysed by country*

Protocol-online.org has a traffic rank of: 70,343 (based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach))

Due to the 'Alexa toolbar' users as measure, I guess not the reality but at least some trend is visible.

*Actually I wanted to write something about the surprising position of Canada in the user ranking, but I'll avoid this for understandable reasons wink.gif .

This is quite misleading and does not represent the actual no of Canadian users....who knows...you don't have the breakdown of the nationalities logging in from the US.....they're probably all Canadians laugh.gif

Nothing to do eh? How nice to be young and free and hounding poor old moi wacko.gif

PS
The german contingent is probably all canadians too....we're everywhere you know...

An article in Nature about lab superstitions. Most of it was from the forum.
