which mouse line for xenographts? - (Feb/16/2008 )
we like to check maintenance and invasiveness of some transformed cells stably transfected with GFP-tagged (proto-)oncogenic proteins; is the GFP signal to monitor through the skin of mouse by two photon microscopy? are naked mice to prefer? are there standard mice lines for such experiments?

Yeah, i think naked mice is good since their immune system is deficient.

SCID, NOD/SCID, and RAG knockouts. all have defective immune systems.
I prefer the rags, because they are nicer, and you don't need as much anaesthetic to make them have a bit of a sleep.
SCID and NOD/SCID are hyperactiver little monkies that never stop. very cute.
nude mice might be a bit expensive. and are very cute, and feel like suade...and are so lovable... but they're quite delicate, and you don't want to handle them too much (sensitive skin).
