what do you think are the most important biotechnology products? - (Feb/09/2008 )

I have just recently started studying Biotech and I am hoping that I will be able to join you in the 'field' and acquire as much knowledge as possible, both in lab and research studies.
I am curious about what you, as the experts out there, consider to be important biotech products.
I am trying to get a better understanding of how you would consider a product a biotech product versus e.g chemically engineered product.Anyways, I am very curious to hear back from you,and would you mind sharing why and how you personally got engaged in ths field.

Thank you smile.gif

I'm really quite enamored with calibrated and accurate pipettors....not sure if that's what you mean by biotechnology products

Rather fond of S. cerevisiae 'products' too wacko.gif

Two of my top choices are recombinant Hep B antigens for immunization, and recombinant insulin.
