Transfection of Drosophila cell culture - Which is the best transfecting agent? (Jan/16/2008 )

Hello,
has anybody experience in Drosophila cell culture transfection? I'm working with S2 cells (they are a stable culture of semi-adherenh cells) and I transfect them with Cellfectin (Invitrogen), but I find only 10 cells transfected every 100 cells (I transfect 2 millions cells with 10ul of Cellfectin in a serum and antibiotic free medium and then, after 4 hours, I add serum to the medium in order to obtain a final concentration of 10%).
Does anybody have best results with Cellfectin or use other transfecting reagents?

Thank you!
Drosy

In my experience, home made Calcium phosphate reagent is better than commercial ones.
