Intense cytoplasmic staining for Hoechst 33258? - not nuclei staining. (Dec/18/2007 )

Hi, all,

I got this weird staining pattern for Hoechst dye for MCF-7 cells. I was trying to stain the nuclei, but I got mostly cytoplasm. Any ideas?

Could it possibly be internalised MYCOPLASMA contamination..........I do hope not as I am sure you regularly mycoplama test your cells?

I recent got this line from the other group. It looks like suspicious to me. Thanks.
