can hyaluronidase be used to detach/digest cells? - (Dec/11/2007 )

searching an alternative to trypsin ive found hyaluronidase.
it is said to dissolve tissue but i could not find information if this enzymes detaches the cells or lyses them (as both effects would cause a tissue to dissolve).

do you know if hyaluronidase is used in cell culture as a trypsin replacement? do you perhaps use it yourself?

I havnt heard of anyone use hyaluronidase instead of trypsin although it sounds logical to use it.

You could try papain instead of trypsin.
