SD media + Calcium - (Dec/03/2007 )

Hi there,
I am trying to prepare SG (Galactose instead of Dextrose) media containing 100 mM Calcium. The problem is that the Calcium is always precipitating. I have adjusted the pH 5 and also tried ph 7. I used Succinate/Phosphate to buffer the pH.
Does anyone know how to avoid the precipitation?
Thanks

Calcium phosphate will precipitate. Use a different buffer system (Tris, HEPES, or MOPS).
