How to merge different EPS/PDF image files side by side into one image - (Nov/05/2007 )

Hi ppl,

I have abt three EPS/PDF image files of phylogenetic trees that I would like to arrange side by side into one single EPS/PDF file of A4 size without loss in resolution.

Can some one tell me how this can be done ?

thanks in advance.

You can arrange them nicely (using LaTeX) with the help of TEXnicCenter.

convert them both to the same format using a program like ps2pdf or pdf2ps and merge the document.

You will need a mac or linux box to do this.

Maybe it also works with Cygwin under Windows. I can try tomorrow, right now I don't have Win here.

Thanks ppl,

I am exploring using latex now.

But I figured out now that adobe illustrator can also very much accomplish the same task in helping to resize, change text and arrange objects from different pdf files on a single template smile.gif
