Counting cells using ELISA method? - Counting cells using ELISA method (Oct/22/2007 )

I want to count reticulocytes in the whole blood. Flowcytometry would be the choice, but I wonder if ELISA method is faster and more convenient. Because, we can coat the 96-well plate with specific antibody against Ret, then wash RBCs, detect adherent cells by measuring turbidity or Hb conc.

Do you have any experience in Counting cells using ELISA method?

Thanks for any advice.

I think it should be feasable, but honnestly, flow cytometry would much much faster and easier. You would have less settings to do.
