you still could have used "minnie mouse" as your screen name. i use the same screen name in all of the forums that i joined.

I registered again using "Minnie Mouse" as my display name.

I found out some funny things...
I registered using my university's email account and my application was approved after one day.
However, when I registered again using my institute's email account... it took five days for approval.

May be ... my university is famous while my institute is not.

i'm a member too now - its a bit more aggresive than this place (but fun non the less) but i dont get to talk as much science as i do here.
