phospho protein - (Jul/29/2007 )

Pages: Previous 1 2

Hi guys,
i think it is best to use S35 label instead of P32 for cells and the sensitivity is equally good

S35 may not work here because this is looking at phosphorylated proteins. Besides, the half life for S35 is way worse than P32. I agree with fred_33 and The Bearer though, antibody against phosphorylated proteins is much less messy. You only want to show that your protein is phosphorylated, right? Then if you have specific Ab, you can just IP it down and probe with anti-phosphoTyr, etc... just as The Bearer's suggestion. Or if not, then epitope tagged it as fred said to IP and then same WB.
