hi guys
i want to know if i can use the student test for percentual case....i have %of nuclear staining from immunohistochemical...and i want to know the significance from 2 groups(normal and tumoral samples).

You can do it after data transformation (often arcsin transformation is suggested for percentage data) and if you have two groups to compare. To be on the sure side perhaps a nonparametric test (e.g. Mann-Whitney or chi-square) is preferable.
