Molarity concentration notation question - (Jul/05/2007 )

I am reading a protocol on RT-PCR and there is a notation for a concentration I am not familiar with.

Here is the example:

dNTP mix

10mM = stock concentration
6µl / well mix
req'd mix for 122.5 wells = 735µl
final concentration = 500ì M

also

RNAse inhibitor
2000U
.6µl / well
req'd for 122.5 wells = 73.5µl
final concentration = .4U/ ìl

fyi the final concentration for the rxn is 30ul (20µl mastermix and 10µ template/standard).

I haven't seen this notation before, and even tried to figure out the concentration with online molarity calculators and that didn't work either. Help?

Thanks!
Randy

Hi,
if you refer to "ul/well" I saw it only referring to reagents used in multiwell plates. May be that the protocol you read is used for it? blink.gif
for the rest, the final concentration of reagents for RT-PCR are all normal to me.
