IT expenses reduced - (Jun/26/2007 )

Outsourcing reduces if not altogether eliminates the need for hiring new employees and spending valuable resources in terms of equipments and time for training new employees. Take the case of outsourcing IT requirements. With the IT processes outsourced, the company can drastically reduce and control its expenses in spending on new IT equipments. IT professionals are among the highly paid employees and maintaining a team of such professionals can be a major drain in the company’s valuable resources. There is also the added benefit of not having to learn or train employees for using new software programs.

When companies opt to outsource to India and similarly economical outsource destinations the IT expenses of the company can be kept to a minimum. Countries like India are rich in highly skilled and technologically savvy personnel and the wages are comparatively cheaper than developed countries. The living expenses in India are also very low when compared to other major cities of the world. Despite the low living expenses the quality of the technology used and the ability of the IT professionals are at par with that of any major city. The quality of the work maintained by the IT teams in India is of superior quality. The turn around time of a project is also low. This ensures the companies that outsource its IT facilities to India benefits in terms of speed, accuracy, and cost.

India has an abundant supply of qualified, technical, highly educated, and English conversant workforce with low salary rates that compare very favorably with developed nations around the world. For these reasons among others, India is an obvious choice for outsourcing. Top companies around the world outsource to India their various processes.

Soooo...am I supposed to argue with you or something? Because I could go on for pages.

Or are you trying to win my out-sourcing business? Which I don't have, actually. So, that's kinda moot.

I've heard about web bots that post crap like this, is this one of those situations and I'm just being dense?

Wow, thats a great idea!! why don't we all fire our employees and outsource all of our work to other countries!! Who cares about promoting the development of highly qualified and skilled workers in our own countries- too much hassle. Ok so now there will be less jobs available for members of our own societies, less contracts for our own companies- but who cares about a social conscience when money is involved?? I'm all for taking the money out of the country to underpay exploited workers in other countries!!

What a joke!!

Well lauralee, is sad, but that's happening already. For example PR is a commonwealth of the US, and the companies use to came here because it was like continental US. Highly skilled bilingual worker (we have many universities and the majority of people in here have a degree), etc. The problem is that they are leaving the Island , because highly skill employee mean higher payment (we have the same minimum salary than US) so the companies are moving for other countries with less skill workers, but that are cheaper. Some companies have moved to other latinamerican countries or to Asia. Right now we have lots of bacchelors and post-graduate unemploy. so what they are doing...moving to the US and the majority are working in non high skill jobs, because they have to mantein a family and the search of the dream job is hard so they finishing working in whatever pays enough to survive.

I really think this is a bot. When a member posts a weird thread like this and has 0 other posts.. you can pretty surely think that this is a bot. So in my point of view.. nevermind.
