diluting 2x10e12 culture to 4x10e10 etc? - (May/30/2007 )

How can one dilute cultures from 2x10e12 to 4x10e10 etc? I would like to know the formula for making many such dilutions. I understand diluting 10e12 to 10e10 is 1:100 dilution but how can one dilute "2 x 10e12" cultures to a required dilution.
If you can refer me to a page online or provide formula/details etc that will be great.
Your help is highly appreciated. I needed it now for making dilutions, anyways I will wait for your replies.
Thanks,
PS

Just divide your initial concentration (2x10e12) by your final concentration (4x10e10). This is the dilution factor.

2x10^12
4x10^10
=0.5x10^2
=50
