Does polylysine bind to plastic? - (May/18/2007 )

Hi,
Does anybody know if polylysine binds to plastic plates?
We usually use it to coat glass plates but I do not know if it would bind to plastic as well
Thank you

I guess it would as it helps cell adhesion even when used in plastic cell culture plates.

Polylysine definitly bind the plastic, but the adherence of the cells on it is very strong and it become very hard to split them. But there are some alternatives, gelatin or collagen which help to cell adhesion.
Good luck
