relaxing yourself... - (May/13/2007 )

hi

well....we all at one point wants to put everything out of mind relax ourself…so how do you all do it especially in your lab…some days I feel that the whole world is against me...i try to go to a lab that has no one working or…very less people…
what you all do…???

read posts in the Bioforum...read journals...check emails....

I go for an icecream.

But, sometimes, the whole unit takes a deserved break eating and drinking. Last Friday, we came to the lab but instead of working that day, we went biking to a nearby island.

do shiatsu... it is my God for relaxation

talking to others, or eating

me and my collegues (all women) when tired or stressed spend time speaking of female arguments (love affairs, italians dishes, and so on...) ...and often we organize little lab parties with cakes and other good things to eat!

Yea what is shiatsu? a form of meditation I guess?

I will go to lab when no one is there just like rick112.
Then I will dance by myself in the lab.... Shh.................

I'm all about playing outside and doing some photosynthesis this time of year that's how I relax

yup, sometime i really feel down
i mean really down.
especially when after trying for 1 1/2 years, there are still no result
sometimes i feel like quitting
what do u do at time like this

we do fight in the lab... mainly because of someone do not follow the rules in lab... or while borrow equipment fr other peoples lab... diff policy between grants... but we all learn to forget about it soon. we'll be OK the next week.

we always go luch togather. especially lab mates birthday. we'll buy cakes and celebrate in the lab... take pictures... kind of fun. i love my lab and my labmates... it is hard to find ..
