recipe for glucose phosphate broth and nitrate broth - (Apr/24/2007 )

Hi, does anyone have the recipe of glucose phosphate broth and nitrate broth?

Glucose Phosphate Broth

Compositoin per liter:

Peptone............................10 g
K2HPO4............................5 g
Glucose............................5 g
D.H2O..............................make up to 1L

pH 7.5 @ 25oC


Nitrate Broth

Composition per liter:

Pancreatic digest of Gelatin.......................20 g
KNO3......................................................2 g
D.H2O.....................................................make up to 1L

pH 7.2 @ 25oC

Nitrate Reduction Broth

Composition per liter:

Pancreatic digest of Casein.......................13 g
NaCl.......................................................5 g
Yeast Extract...........................................5 g
Heart Muscle, solids from infusion..............2 g
KNO3/NaNO3...........................................2 g
D.H2O.....................................................make up to 1L

pH 7.4 @ 25oC
