Surface markers for neurons/astrocytes - (Apr/16/2007 )

Hi everyone,
I am desperately looking for some hints regarding commercially available antibodies directed against markers specifically targeting the cell surface of neurons and astrocytes. Does anybody know a webpage providing a summarized listing of such antibodies/proteins?
With kind regards,
Barbara

www.biocompare.com has a keyword search. The site lists all commercially available antibodies.
Maybe you could give us more info about the tissue (brain (if yes, which part), spinal cord etc.) and age?

Thank you for your reply. I need the antibodies for feline brains/hippocampus region of adult animals. The abs should be used as primary capture abs for isolating neurons via magnetic beads (beads are coupled with biotinylated secondary ab and with primary ab specifically targeting hippocampal neurons). The most important feature of the ab should be the recognition of EXTRACELLULAR parts of the neuronal receptor or membrane protein, otherwise the beads are not able to reach their targets. Maybe species specifity is not the key feature (cat antibodies are rarely sold) on acout of cross reactions with other mammals.
