How small cells can Flow cytometry detect? - Flow cytometry to detect a small cell (Apr/12/2007 )

I want to used Flow cytometry to detect a small cell (300-700nm), could anyone show me whether this instrument can detect a small cell like that?

I haven't got any experience, but if they are animal derived cells they're most likely bigger than bacteria, and I've read people sorting e. coli with FACS, so if they're bigger than your average coli, it should be possible.

I tried 300 nm without success.
It is said that the limit is 1µm
