viral transduction AND lipofection of neurons - (Apr/07/2007 )
Is it possible to virally transduce cultured cortical neurons, followed by Lipofectamine2000-based transfection of a different cDNA?
I have a good working protocol to transfect these neurons, however co-transfection has proven more tricky. So I thought of introducing the second cDNA by virus instead followed by my usual transfection.
Is this possible?

I think its not problematic to deliver both cDNA by lentivirus. Transduction efficiency can be nearly 100%, so you don't need to select them.
