My primers don't work with Chip - (Mar/29/2007 )

Hello,
I'm performing chIPs assays using 3 specific pairs of primers for a promoter region of a gene.
It give me a clear nice band with IP samples but when I use the input I got a big band with different size (bigger). I used DMSO and Kcl , Mg++.....It didn't help.
Please help me.

have you checked to see your primers are indeed specific? there could be misprining occurring.

also, are you using your input neat or diluted??
