Pseudomonas infection - How can it be cleared? (Mar/28/2007 )

Hello,

After my previous post (HT29 cell infection), I have now identified the bacteria as Pseudomonas aeruginosa (yellow pigment, motile, Gram negative rods, catalase & oxidase positive).

Has anyone had a similar infection. If so, how easy/hard is it to clear the infection?

Please help!

Thanks

P aeruginosa is very hard to get rid of; ask anyone who's ever had a pseudomonas infection (often kills or seriously injures immunocompromised individuals). most ubiquitous strains are resistant to about everything

your best bet is to start over; your chances of curing your cultures will be very low.

I was hoping that wasn't the case but I guess I will have to face reality.
