hello all,
i am looking for a protocol to make complete freund's adjuvant, does anyone have a protocol of how to go about making it, and also the refernce from where they got it,

i am planning to use the adjuvant and hence will have to state the reference for it...

Well, if you really need to make CFA instead of buying it...

Take 250mg of dried, heat-killed (80degC for 60 minutes) Mycobacterium tuberculosis, grind in a procelain mortar with 2,5 g of lecitin and small amount of paraffin oil. Carefully homogenize small amounts of this mixture with multiple (eg. 2-5x) volume of warm paraffin oil, combine and add paraffin oil up to 250ml of volume, homogenize again and autoclave.
I don't have the reference, it's from a book from 1967 and they considered it as a common knowledge.

You can get it from Sigma, it is not very expensive as I recall.
