EADIE-HOFSTEE enzyme kinetics plot - (Feb/28/2007 )

I am just not understanding how these things work.

Using this plot as an example (attached).



Can someone explain how one would go about generating this. I mean obviously you dont have the raw data to generate it, but in theory? Thanks.

v (activity) is a function of v/[substrate]; you measure v at different conc of substrate and plot as shown; slope corresponds with Km; linearity tells you sth about cooperativity
